An Evening of Poems
By Jena Woodhouse
“ ‘An Azure Memory of Seas’:Glimpses of Greece”

Jena Woodhouse is a prolific Australian poet and fiction writer whose publications
in various genres include three poetry collections, two of which – Eros in Landscape
and Passenger on a Ferry - were inspired by the more than ten years she spent
living and working in Greece. In 2015, she was awarded the AAIA Creative
Residency, and Greece continues to inspire her personally and as a poet and writer.
Her recently completed poetry collection A Different Light, contains new poems
from and about Greece, while a novel, currently in progress, Songlines for
Dionysos, draws on the theatrical legacy of Greece, whose culture, history, arts,
archaeology and abiding spiritual vitality continue to be a source of inspiration and
admiration that she revisits regularly.
