Paris Arnopoulos Annual Lecture by Matthew A. Sears

18 Απριλίου @ 19:00 21:00

The Canadian Institute in Greece has the pleasure to invite you to the first “Paris Arnopoulos Annual Lecture” series, an event which will make use of Classical Greek studies in the analysis of contemporary social phenomena and problems. This annual event pays tribute to Paris Arnopoulos, Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, whose generous donation has rendered the homonymous endowment for this series possible.

This year’s event, entitled “What the ancient Greek world can tell us about geopolitical crises of today”, will reflect on whether conflict resolution strategies practiced by ancient Greeks could serve as a reference in understanding contemporary global conflicts. A panel discussion will follow.

The event will be moderated by ERT journalist, sociologist Polydefkis Papadopoulos.

Due to limited seating, kindly confirm onsite attendance at info@cig-icg.gr
